The Wudang Xuan Wu Pai (玄武派) is one of the two principal martial arts lineages active on Wudang Mountain today, alongside the San Feng Pai (三丰派). Officially formed in 1989 as an association of Daoists in the Wudang mountains with Xuanwu (the Dark Warrior / Northern Emperor) as their patron deity, the lineage claims descent from temples founded during the Ming Dynasty under the Yongle Emperor.
